(Ji Qi, Liu Subinni) On June 9th, the teachers and students of the School of Art won great results in the 6th Milan Design Week —— Excellent Works Exhibition of Teachers and Students of Chinese University Design Discipline. In this competition, the school of Art has won 8 first prizes, 130 second prizes, 20 third prizes, 5 academic awards and 2 excellent awards.
Cao Qian, Class 1901 of art School, and Jiang Nan and Qiu Ziyi of Paper Campus, series of cultural design won the first prize in this competition. This work focuses on the expression of campus culture + three-dimensional paper art, and focuses on the use of paper cutting art. Taking universities in Wuhan, Hubei Province as the main body, extracting the campus scenery as the creation basis, it presents the paper art and creative products related to the style of various universities in a three-dimensional way.
As a long-term work, 'Paper Campus' is a series of campus cultural and creative products originally developed in cooperation with the company. It took about half a semester, and all the color draft to the products were completed by our team.Jiang Nan said that the use of this work is because of its special communication significance, but also wanted to exercise their professional ability through this competition.
Jiang Nan said that the key difficulty of completing the work was to layer the color draft before proofing, but with the joint efforts of the team members, the work finally presented a good effect.I am very grateful to Mr.Wang Wei for staying up late and for his careful guidance. The success of our team is indispensable to the teachers' cultivation.Jiang Nan also mentioned that the instructor Wang Wei had personally led them to visit the proofing, for the work to contribute an indispensable force to the award.
Milan Design Week —— Excellent Works Exhibition of Teachers and Students of Chinese University Design Discipline is jointly sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange and China Society of Higher Education. It builds an international exchange and learning platform to show the level of teachers and students of design subjects in national universities, and provides a channel for teachers and students of our college to show their talents and develop innovatively.
