In the morning on November 12, Huang Zhen, Vice President of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Business Opportunity Commission, a member of the Hong Kong S.A.R. Election Committee, and a member of CPPCC of Hubei Province visited Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) with his companions for investigation and symposium. President Ni Hongwei and vice president LV Yong accompanied him in the investigation and attended the symposium. The symposium was held in the conference room of the International School.
Ni Hongwei extended a warm welcome on behalf of WUST to Huang Zhen and his companions for their investigation and expressed gratitude for his caring and support to the exchanges and cooperation with WUST. Ni Hongwei said, after the online cooperative meeting between WUST and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) in October, both parties have actively advanced the progress and obtained substantial achievements in scientific research and joint doctoral programs. In the new landscape of mutually beneficial cooperation and coordinated development between Hubei and Hong Kong, Ni expected that this cooperation would deepen the cooperation and exchange mechanism of both parties and boost their careers to a new level.
Huang Zhen highly praised the campus planning, natural resources, and geographical advantages of WUST. He stated that WUST is in a window phase of high-speed growth and is showcasing great potential and possibilities in international cooperation, scientific cooperation, talent cultivation, and campus construction. Huang also said that relevant authorities of Hong Kong will constantly facilitate the exchanges and cooperation between WUST and the Hong Kong government, enterprises, and universities. Moreover, they will continue to follow and support WUST's construction and development.
During the meeting, Chen Hua, a member of CPPCC of Hubei Province, exchanged his opinions about campus construction with the responsible persons from WUST's Office of Development and Planning and Office of Infrastructure.
The investigation and the symposium were attended by Chen Hua, a member of CPPCC of Hubei Province, Luo Daili, general manager of Hubei Dongbitang Education Development Co., Ltd., as well as the responsible persons from the Office of Party and Governance, the Office of Development Planning and Academic Development, the Office of International Relations, and the Office of Infrastructure.
